Was actually at the Stadsbrasserie in Rotterdam not the train station. Catching up on summer sips. Memory a little foggy. — 5 years ago

Toasted in 2022 in Ocean City MD with just us, after witnessing a wet soggy foggy fireworks show from quite far and keeping social distancing. Yes that balanced yeasty toasty taste which went well with food next night. Excellent value. — 2 years ago

Davis Bynum

Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2017

Davis Bynum 2017 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir! This is a beautiful wine. Its so easy to drink you almost forget your drinking wine. The bouquet is simply cherry juice. The palate begins with dark cherries, raspberries, and ripe Macintosh apples. Then comes the spice and an almost vanilla emotion. The mildly dry finish delivers hints of oak and smoke lingering on the palate. YUMMY! And for about 25 dollars a bottle! You can not beat this wine. Go Sonoma County Russian River Valley! Its those cold foggy and windy nights that make this pinot so fantastic. — 4 years ago

Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir 2014

2 hour Decant👍🏼🧫
Winery notes as follows,

Doctor's Vineyard, Santa Lucia Highlands
This particular vineyard is an east facing sweeping shelf of eroded sandy loam soil, which is buffeted by cool, semi foggy winds every afternoon.
The benefits to growing great Pinot Noir in this area is that the soils are well drained, allowing the vines to focus on maturing the fruit, while the coolness of the afternoon winds extends the growing season. With the additional time on the vine, the fruit develops big bold flavors and a fuller, hardier structure than most other areas growing Pinot. Deep fruit, darker color are consistent attributes to this vineyard, and that is why we appreciate all the hard work done by the Hahn Estate to deliver us superior fruit every year.

Me, I’m holding two more years but, that’s me. You could do one with a long decant.

Paul & I were just texting about it. I have 6 & would open one in 2 more years to judge for it for future openings. At this point, its only been in bottle 4 years which, is really little time for this bottling.
