fun and delicious lambrusco! aromatics were an interesting mix of a little funk/earth/swamp and florality, and tasted bright and acid-driven, but lots of fresh blueberry and brambly blackberry. fun and tasty, but plenty of depth and dimensions too. this wine elevates food! i am almost always in the mood for this kind of wine. — 8 years ago
smells floral, stony, a little cheesy, and a little like a wet cave. on the palate, it's very savory; almost nutty, bone dry, and a touch salty/briny. beautiful wine. — 8 years ago
interesting honeysuckle/floral/lemongrass/perfumed nose, then round and bright on a palette layered with watermelon/pomegranate/dragonfruit/red currant/cherry fruits, a petricore mineral quality, a briny/savory character, and grilled lemon. also feels creamy and fat on the mid-palette, maybe from batonage, or maybe from partial malo. they did a hell of a job balancing structure and complexity with freshness. definitely interesting and fun. but also not cheap for a rosé; i paid $20 retail. near room temp it is too rich for me, but straight out of the fridge its layers are more balanced and refreshing. i prob wouldn't pick it again at that pricepoint, but it was a good experience to try it out. — 8 years ago
smells like white flowers (cherry blossoms), honeycomb and baked pear. on the palate it's crisp, bright and plenty of acid, but balanced with elegant kiwi sweetness and limestone minerality. many layers and different, but easy drinking and perfect for a hot sunny day in May. — 9 years ago
funky nose! bright and juicy on the palate. reductive, mossy, but floral nose, and bright raspberry/strawberry/red fruit flavors on the palate. def a good choice for lovers of a gamay with complexity! (of which i am one) — 9 years ago
Nutty & oxidative but still zesty, bright, clean, fresh and drinkable...little bit of a fat mid-palette. Walking that line of a weird/nutty/oxidative nerd wine, and a young, fresh, vibrant, quaffable wine. fucking delicious. almonds for days. meyer lemons, wet stone/spring rain minerality. do yourself a favor tho: open it cold, but let it sit out and enjoy as it comes up to room temp. a lot of lovely topical flavors emerge as it warms up. — 8 years ago
Another tasty exception to my rule of not usually enjoying sauvignon blancs. Not all the way dry, plenty of wet stones, white flowers, passionfruit, clementine and kind of a classic Austrian aromatic quality that i always get, which makes me think of a foggy spring morning with wet concrete all around. — 8 years ago

on the nose, a little smokey, hint of reduction and earth, some raspberries and red fruits and some savory herbaciousness. On the palate, it is light weight, but with some grip, some gamey/savory qualities like a grenache or a syrah, but balanced with some tart acidity, and finishes with a mellow bitterness that reminds me of Cynar, which thoroughly confuses me as to if this wine is just fun or serious, in a delightful way. awesome experience! also, really interesting color — 7 years ago
