Vera brought to holiday non-game night 2023. Fantastic, such a joy and surprise. Utterly delicious, smooth, velvety without being heavy, rewarding wine. — a month ago
Drinking so well. A great wine and a first for me. It’s got so much freshness and energy is the headline. Nose is cassis, vanilla, tobacco, spice and some hints of black fruits. Also a background of awesome minerality. A plump nose which belies what comes on the palate. It’s rich but just teeming with energy and so much black and red fruit that is super crunchy and luscious. Gorgeous clarity to the minerality and a freshness I haven’t tasted in Bordeaux maybe ever. I really like the vibe of this wine. The finish keeps pumping. Very very impressive. It’s also so sappy on the finish and just outrageously complex. — 3 days ago
Mum’s 59th Birthday wine. Lovely! — 23 days ago
The 2023 Kerner is delicately floral in the glass. Sweet spice and candied lime open in the bouquet. Vibrant acidity, saline minerals and tart citrus add a zesty character throughout. The 2023 reverberates with tension through a long, cheek-puckering finale laced with chamomile and lemon zest. $22.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, April 2024) — 18 days ago
H and c. Gnocchi sausage mushroom ragu. Very very good. No tannin. Decanted 2x. Left to breathe 5 hours. — 4 days ago
Tarter and more tannic than ‘21 but somehow maybe thinner? Either way, another delicious wine. — a month ago
