Fleur De Mer

Mer Soleil

Reserve Santa Barbara County Chardonnay 2022

Taking its name from the sea and sun – the two forces of nature that shape its character. Pale lemon, aromas of Stone and tropical fruits, with floral and sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peach & apricot with lemon zest and toasty vanilla notes. Smooth long finish, well balanced, nice acidity, ending with fruit, vanilla oak and mineral character. Sip’s well now. Pair this with some fresh tuna! — 9 hours ago

Fleur de Pedesclaux

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

2015 vintage. With 74% Merlot (and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 6% Cabernet Franc), this is a world of difference compared to the 2022 ( 49% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot) tasted alongside. We switch from red fruit in the fully mature 2015, to the more black fruit personality of the 2022. While the 2015 is an attractive wine in a lighter style, it is no match for the more powerful and profound 2022,reflecting the impressive progress made here year after year since the Lorenzetti family took over. — a month ago

Lalande de Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2012

From magnum. Glass filling nose. Creamy mocha with still a good and fresh fruit profile. Finish a bit short. — a month ago

Nice - love magnums, especially for wines with modest origin. It creates surprises.

Mags also really slow down pace of ageing I think. This one felt fresher than one could expect from a ‘12 Lalande.
