Yum, dry and well priced — a month ago
Talk about an enormous wine. The 2005 is downright youthful and packed to the gills with fruit and character. Dark fruited with anise and black pepper. It was just so dense that everything seemed locked up right now…and we can thank Mourvedre for that. This was very tasty with cassoulet, Toulouse sausage and duck confit. If I were going to open another one of these, I would probably hold until 2030 and this will probably last for another 25 years beyond that. A massive wine with a long future yet ahead. — a month ago
Medium deep ruby , quite narrow ruby rim . Quite a lot of ripe red fruits , blueberry , strawberry jam , dark cherry and spice . Quite round and sweet fruited on the palate , cherry jam , strawberry , raspberry and dried spice . Ok acidity and ok length, just balanced alcohol , quite fine sweet tannins . Would be difficult to put this in Bordeaux ! Drink now and over the next 7 - 10 years . From 3 litre. — 5 days ago

Lovely, easygoing red. Middle of the road, could pair well with just about anything. Will be looking for in the future. Served with pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes, and brussel sprouts. — 20 days ago
Slightly cloudy garnet ruby core . Some herbal and slightly funky undergrowth , dried red fruits, dried mushroom , tobacco and dried spices, touch medicinal also. On the palate still some fruit , dried red cherry, those sous bois notes , rose and spice , liquorice . Balanced acidity, noticeable slightly angular tannin. Ok length with just a touch of warmth , slightly smoky finish . This is mature and should be drunk as I don’t see it improving. Drink Now and next 5 years . — 2 months ago

Enjoyed at Hickory and Ash. This Grenache Syrah blend is incredibly smooth. Low tannins. Medium finish. Leather. Clay. — 4 days ago
