Spicy but soft great fall wine — 2 years ago
2023 fall. Wonderful classic Chianti, with red cherry, earth and a bit of almond and orange peel, but still very primary and quite powerful — 4 months ago

2021 fall. As always, this is darker with a lower center of gravity than the frappato wines, but well balanced with crunchy acidity — 2 years ago
Just an excellent wine, and considering it’s a second wine this really is nice. Tons of black berry esque fruit on the nose. So balanced and pure and just very seamless. Great acid with nice integrated tannins with that refreshing note on the finish. Really delicious and significantly outperformed expectations. Great pairing with roast chicken and mushrooms, and especially nice as the weather turns to fall. Also a nice reminder why St J is my favorite left bank appellation. — 6 months ago
This bottle was showing less reduction and was a lot more giving from the get-go than the one I had last fall. It shows such incredible layers of stone fruit, citrus, hazelnut and smoky minerals. It continues to gain both volume and focus with air and the palate has amazing texture, weight and such impressive depth for a village wine. Coche and Ente truly do play in a different league. — 2 years ago

Stunning. Graphite, cherry leather, plum, fall leaves. Beautiful structure to this wine.
