Medium bodied but surprisingly complex and acid driven. Nose that’s a combo of minerality and acidity, with hints of jasmine, peach, some lychee and some vegetal hints, the color is a blend of pale green and pale yellow, light colored though. The palate is deep, long and lingering, with a complex acidic blend of florals and dry white fruits, with hints of loquat, lychee, white peach, wet limestone, grassy notes, green mango and a hint of nectarine, with a zippy little effervescence at the finish. Double Diamond is still a great value. — 7 months ago
This one in still available for around €70 in Sweden, so I was intrigued to try the WOTY. Full bodied with ripe dark fruits, plenty of baking spices, currants, cedar wood. I prefer this over The Mascot from Harlan, the quality of the fruit comes across a bit superior here. Very well made. — 2 years ago

Wow and amazing.. — 2 years ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. No formal notes. The 2006 “Amber Knolls Vineyard” blows the mind. Yes, I know, it’s made by Schrader but this humble Lake County designation was meant to be enjoyed early while one allowed the more significant Schrader Cabernet Sauvignon’s mature. Yet here we are, thoroughly enjoying this 18 years from vintage. Fruit not only hanging on; dare I say this is still developing? Structure is sound. Drink now through 2030. Very impressive. — 6 months ago

2/2023. A great Napa Cab. Dark purple and full of flavor. Very nice on the palate. Wine Spectator #1 for 2022.
