Deep ruby. Dark sweet plum, salty and floral. The palate is med-full bodied, med acidity, soft-med tannin. There is a dark savoury element that gives the wine gravitas. Beautiful balance. Power without weight. Powerful and beautiful. — 3 years ago
Threw a few of these in the cellar just to see what would happen. Finally coming into its own in Hour 2. Dark blue black fruits, nice acidity, balanced. Really nice. Great for Sunday pasta and red sauce. — 4 years ago
Expressive nose with black peppercorns, cloves, crushed rock, a hint of iron & blood, underneath all that - pure black fruit. Fresh, spicy, enticing.
Medium bodied on the palate with ripe, grippy tannins, juicy black fruit acidity and nice purity to the fruit. This has grip, good tension, quite some power and loads of character. Reminiscent of Northern Rhône.

Deep Ruby with purple hue edge. Violets and vanilla immediate on nose, damson, plum, some baking spice, floral. Soft and chewy on palate fresh, lively cassis and blackcurrant, black and red plum with smooth tannin. Fruit concentrated and wine well balanced. — 7 years ago

Darker color than the Fleurie, more dark fruited, on the one hand still grapey fruit, but accompanied by some good tannic structure and fine balancing acidity, much more youthful than the Fleurie as well, lingering finish, should continue to evolve for another 2-3 years, at least. — 16 days ago
