Threw a few of these in the cellar just to see what would happen. Finally coming into its own in Hour 2. Dark blue black fruits, nice acidity, balanced. Really nice. Great for Sunday pasta and red sauce.

2015 vintage from magnum.
Bright ruby colour.
Perfumed nose with cherry, plums and dark flowers.
Smooth and savoury with medium acidity, red fruits, earthy, herbs and well developed rounded tannins.
This wine is food friendly.
I got a kilo of local Matsutake mushrooms from a forager friend and made risotto.

Very enjoyable for the price. Red berries, clean nose. Very drinkable and goes down quick. Excellent acids and a silky texture that hits the palate well. Great pairing with some simple red sauce type food.

Lots of Barbera acid, pretty light bodied. Cranberry and tart raspberry, steel, some chalk, wet twigs. From Shawn’s.

Delicious Barbera! Bright & balanced & the right kind of light. Paired well with pizza. Thanks to the folks at Convive on Avenue A for recommending it!

Basic Barbera, brambly, slightly, bitter, crunchy fruit, no residual sugar apparent. Probably opened a bit too early, would be nice with a pasta gnudi dish!

Very smooth, velvety and fruit forward. Paired really well with our Asian tofu salad.
