Peppery plum is really shining through on this one. Red licorice and dried spice accents. Tannic grape skin gives it some grip. Long raisin finish. Like the Sun-Maid boxes I ate as a kid. Dark ruby color with purple highlights. Expressive aromas of red berries, rose petals, violets and red plum. Bold palate is a blend of red and black cherries, red and black berries and sweet baking spices. Firm tannins and hefty structure. Long lasting and vibrant. Wonderful freshness and very versatile from a pairing perspective. I did not notice the 15+% alcohol content. Solid QPR. — a month ago
