Les Babillaires Chambolle-Musigny Pinot Noir 2014

In a great drinking window where the fruit is developing but with still enough grippy tannins to compliment to fat of the roast duck we had. — a month ago

Ampodium Côte-Rôtie Syrah 2015

Such a baby still. Drank better on day two after opening up. Incredibly tightly woven black fruits with earth, charred meat and black pepper spice revealed with time. Ripe fruit in thrilling tension with fine acid and tannin. Beautiful wine with a long life ahead. — 7 days ago

Some stone fruit, medium dry, quite some body. Both easy to drink and complex, fine bubbles. — 3 months ago

Côte-Rôtie Syrah 1996

Smoky, charcoal, granite, meat, bacon, black pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon, violets, black olives, red cherries, blueberries, blackberries. Medium plus acid, medium body, medium plus finish, medium tannin. Silky tannins from age, good fruit and acidity still, elegant and high-toned. — 2 months ago

This was very tight & shut down not showing much. Hard to give a rating but should improve with time. — 25 days ago

Love this! Drinks well now and will age wonderfully too.
Smokey black fruits, and earthiness. A nice backbone to this wine.

Le Vassal Red Blend 2015

Felt young,. Super herbaceous and smelling like a butcher’s shop that’s caught fire, but the different harmonies need a little time to come into place with each other. — 2 months ago
