Che razza di bel vino. Al naso più rustico e libero del cugino Canon, ma molto intenso. Note di frutta più matura. Al palato veramente notevole, intenso e lungo. — 13 days ago
Oaky but sexy and cool. Very good achievement. 96-97 — 17 days ago
The 2006 Clos Saint-Denis pours a deep ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with powerful notes of tart and ripe red and black fruits: raspberry, strawberry, black cherry, eastern spices, a touch herbal and nice minerals, almost like red and purple Flintstone vitamins. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. While I can sort of understand the mixed opinions on this wine/vintage combo, I personally think this needs a lot more time. Secondary characteristics are still not really showing and the fruit and structure are still very much intact. And even in this early window, I thought this was baller alongside some absolute bangers…it just needs a lot more time. Concentrated. Desperately wanted to try this on Day 2. Drink with patience and through 2056. — 2 months ago
Classical Right Bank of Bordeaux blend of Merlot 60%, Cab Franc 35%, Malbec 3%, Cab Sauv. 2%, this particular V.2020 delivers an incredible array of soft ripen cherry aromas, decent structure, not so highly complex, but it has few layers of mulberry compote, dark cherry and açai berry, balanced acidity, nice hint of oak in the mid-range.
The most remarkable aspect was the soft tannins and its smoothness is so inviting that its finish provided a subtle savory taste at the back end of the palate. Awesome!
This wine will give the full round for the money, accessible price point that outperforms seamlessly, a crowd pleaser!

Cherry, amarena and amaretto on the nose. Crunch freshly cut red fruits, nice little depth and stratification. harsh tannins which when will integrate will give shape to a beautifully drinking old school Bordeaux. — 16 days ago
100% Merlot
Calcarea and elegant. Nice finish on crunchy red and dark berries. — 16 days ago
Even more fantastic than the previous bottle of 2010 I enjoyed a year ago. Decanted and enjoyed over 7 hours. This was good from first pour but became great and then magnificent over the next 3.5 and 7 hours. It was still full of verve on the last sip! Early only it was more dark fruit but over time the wines softened and became a bit sweeter and rounder. Tremendous length and complexity. — 17 days ago

This was a great vintage for Pavie that was going strong at 27 yrs showing mostly rich black fruits, mocha, graphite, sweet & savory spice, leather, menthol & tobacco. — 11 days ago
