Love the unbridled bloodiness of Marsanne’s St. Jo’s. This is glorious. Olive, garrigue, lavender, blackberry, black cherry, Smokey, feral but so much olive. Unreal. And very aromatic now. Palate is so good and full of 2015 fruit but also insanely young and pretty closed. Serious granitic structure and very pure fruit and typical 2015 extraordinarily long finish. — 3 days ago
First introduction to the power of J.L. Chave. Dried blueberries and cherries fill the nose followed by a rush of pepper and freshly dried herbs, particularly thyme and rosemary. Dried cranberries and red currants lead the charge on the palate with smoked meat and the earthiness that I love from Rhône style wines right behind. Terrific mouthfeel with the right amount of tannins and acidity, and a long fruit forward finish. Chave’s Hermitage is a top dream wine for me, and this just adds fuel to the fire. — 13 days ago

Morey St. Denis - Deep dive in 3 btls
Here comes the real stuff! Reserved at start, but top breed spotted right away. You can’t miss with it. It has pretty much of everything you expect from GC: depth of aromas, complexity, good concentration of fruits, multilayer & finesse.
‘11 is odd year, it drinks OK already, but this one will evolve w/ years. Drouhin sources fruits w/ low yield vines: 36hl/ha. Delicate work with oak (20% new 14-18mo). Delicious wine w/ long lasting finish. — 13 days ago
