Delicious! — 5 years ago
Little kiss of wood, sea air, mineral and finesse. Rich but energetic, sappy and very pure. This has that Boussey thing where the wine feels generous without losing its line. Delicious, clean, and seriously drinkable. — 3 months ago
2020 Prunier-Bonheur Monthelie Red Burgundy — 2 years ago
lovely and deeply fruited nose but also very mineral under all that. Juicy and super concentrated, silky and sweet but youngest of all the wines and very very mineral finish. Needs maybe 3-7 years. very delicate — 3 years ago
Great aroma. Spice, wood shavings, richer and denser than the 2024s, more round and generous, but still with energy. This has a broader frame and real depth. Big step up in volume and presence. — 3 months ago
2023/1/1. Rich country Burgundy — 3 years ago
2022/9/6-7 with wagyu rump steak several ways, etc. This was fresher and less volatile than the bottle of 2015 I had just before it - and more reminiscent of that first, best bottle of 2019 Monthelie we had at Kamakura — 4 years ago

Gorgeous, classic Burgundy nose of red cherry, sour cherry, spice, sous-bois, wet earth, fresh moss and desiccated leaves. The palate is opulent yet remarkably light on its feet, with terrific concentration and density, that beautiful 2023 progression from sour to mid-season cherry, and barely sweet, velvety tannins. Pure, clean, juicy and wonderfully balanced, with real depth despite the featherweight feel. Just a terrific, immensely drinkable Pinot. — a day ago
