Yes, Virginia, there is such a thing as a weeknight Barbaresco. Textbook Nebbiolo nose shows spiced cherry, orange peel, leather, dry gravel. Intense but soft and tautly-balanced in the mouth. Nice acids and soft tannins completely smothered in cherry fruit and savory minerality. Ridiculous value. — 8 months ago
