Jongleur Petit Verdot red table wine, Columbia Valley, Dionysus Vineyards, 292 cases made. Dense purple red, highly extracted pigment. Butter, black currant and spearmint notes in nose initially. Black currant flavor with lots of chewy tannins, with a slightly salty black licorice finish. Allow 30 minutes to open; nuanced, lightly flavored but depth of fruit, good acidity, an undercurrent of anise, fruit and floral character, but well integrated. Moderate skin astringency. — 4 years ago
White Bluffs, Estate White Blend. Blend of Sauvignon Blanc (Bacchus, Gamache Vyds) and Semillon (Dionysus Vyds). Pale white, excellent clarity. White floral aromas, citrus and orchard fruit flavors, slight seed bitterness but good fruit and acid. Everyday sipping or food wine, we paired it with flatbread. And you know it’s good because it has a reliable screw cap- no leaks, no accidental oxidation. Drink up! — 7 months ago
Vintage 2017 / Made from Xarel-lo, Chardonnay and Macabeu. It was perfect with scrambled eggs for breakfast (it’s Sunday, don’t think wrong about me) and now with oysters for lunch. Citrus in taste. Also strong Chardonnay impression, flowers. Vibrant taste. Biowine. 30 months sir lie. Great p/q. — 3 years ago
This wine has rounded out since being released in 2008. The grapes were chosen from the Seven Hills, Loess, Mill Creek, Upland. Pepper Bridge, as well as Bacchus-Dionysus and Wallula, both located in the Columbia Valley. It is a blend of 76% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Carmenere and 4% Petit Verdot, having the highest percentage of Carmenere that I have seen for this wine. This vintage was characterized by an early bud break and a hot summer which led to ripe fruit. The wine opens with aromas of milk chocolate, Turkish coffee, sagebrush and black cherry. This leads to rich flavors of black cherry, anise, sage, blackberry and mocha. There is a silky mouthfeel and wonderful viscosity, despite the wine being nearly 10 years old. This is drinking beautifully, one of the best of its kind. 2,723 cases of this delicious wine made. Drink 2019-2035- 96 — 4 years ago
The 2018 ‘Sestina’ is a gorgeous blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, and 7% Cabernet Franc. Sourced from some esteemed sites like the Red Willow and Dionysus Vineyards, the wine showcases anise and sagebrush aromatic tones alongside dark currant jelly and shades of black cherry syrup that all meld together. The palate is soft, round and generous, showing a beautiful sense of balance. Ripe blackberry jelly and mocha tones collide with smoky minerals, saline drenched boysenberry and firm tannins holding everything in place. This has a long life ahead of it and try to give this at least another year before consuming. Drink 2022-2041- 94 — 2 years ago
This is just wine. Perfect balance, everyone enjoys it, not sweet, not too acidic, goes with food, goes without food. It’s really perfect. I feel like this is Dionysus’ house wine. — 4 years ago
Hey folks, this a totally new wine. 20th Anniversary 100% Petit Verdot, but it is a port-style dessert wine (not the same as their Jongleur PV red table wine). Grapes from Dionysus Vineyard, Columbia Valley. Lightly flavored, well balanced; impressive for their first effort at this style wine. On the pricey side but nice to see the winemaking team stretch themselves so effectively. I’m posting this 24 hours after tasting the wine as my previous tasting notes got lost in the new wine creation process on the app. — 4 years ago

A wine fit for Christmas ($30). This was delicious, fruity, smooth and weighty with filet mignon roast, Brussels sprouts, twice baked potatoes and good company. — a month ago
