Dagueneau has a beautiful range of wines—with the “Silex” label at the top. This “Blanc, etc.” is considered a more accessible, youthful bottling made from biodynamically farmed, younger vines, vinified & aged in stainless steel for a fresh & focused profile.
In the glass, this wine is pale lemon, with crystalline notes of gooseberry, honeydew, quince, starfruit, kumquat, lemon zest, chamomile, fennel, next to oystershell, gunflint & wet stones, lifted by a racy acidity and balanced by a medium alcohol and body.
It offers purity, texture & tension as well as versatility in terms of food-pairing prospects. — 5 months ago

Drank the 2018 in November 2021 with sushi. Excellent apple and the touch of minerality that pared well with the seafood — 5 years ago
So so tight. Started to show its potential only after lots of time in the decanter. The glass is rattling—so much energy. Incredibly powerful but somehow light on its feet. A great wine in need of cellar time — 7 years ago
A hand crafted blend of 50% Pinot Meunier, 30% Pinot Noir, and 20% Chardonnay. Golden straw with stone fruit aromas and yeasty notes. On the palate pear and apple flavors with a nutty toasty character. Well balanced on a long finish ending with chalky mineral tones. — 7 years ago
Generous and rounded with youthful fruit, minerally but no oxidative development — 2 months ago
My last bottle of the 2020, one of the riper versions I’ve had of this consistently excellent cuvée. Such deeply ripe gooseberry fruit that it crosses over into tropical. But there’s loads of freshness in the form of limestoney mineral scents. Ripe and deep on entry, but then the sneaky acids and the minerality clamps down, making the finish mouthwatering. Terrific accompaniment to our simple broiled haddock weeknight dinner. — 3 months ago

Another terrific vintage. Nothing petit about this Chablis. Give it a quick 15 minute decant. — 5 years ago
Delightful Jura white- sweet, mouth filing and acidic. Fulsome wine. A joy. — 7 years ago
Blackberry and black cherry. Fruit forward and very enjoyable. — 7 years ago
2017 vintage. Opened two bottles for the FLB (Friday Lunch Bunch) and decanted both. Small amount of sed observed in both bottles. Tasted after 15 minutes and 2 hours. Medium body with medium heavy body intensity. Cinnamon, fresh mud, dark plum, allspice and tobacco coming through loud and clear. It was two bottles of this for a group of 9 or one bottle of 2019 Rostaing La Viallière for the same group... choices...3.27.26. — 3 months ago
32 anni. Ancora buonissimo benché abbia passato il suonpicvo — 7 months ago
I don’t know if it’s the five years of age, but it was short in the mouth despite promising beginnings. The nose was absolutely lovely. — 4 years ago
With oysters and bay bugs. Super drop. Balance between fruit, ‘ acidity and oak — 7 years ago
