Not typically a huge fan of the sweeter stuff, normally a brut drinker, but this is good when paired with salty desserts. Pale yellow, with some floral aromatics dancing out. Great bubbles. Medium bodied. Honeyed pears, apricots, green apples proliferating through each sip. Not much to disagree with. — 2 months ago
The difference 40 years makes is maybe just a thin wooly blanket.
Pull it back and this thing's full of life - bright, vibrant, gas in the tank.
It’s brighter yellow than tired gold. Theres more fruit than decay. Sour apricots and yellow canned peaches, white popcorn and greasy bacon, and that foggy musk.
Acid rips through and does not give. Barely sweet with the demi-sec tag thats written right there but I'm not buying it.
Tonight this is 40 years old, just gettin' goin, just like me. — a month ago

Blend of equal amounts of local red grapes; Caino, Espadeiro and Loueiro, Ruby red color with aromas of red fruits, herb, floral and cigar box notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and raspberry with tobacco, oak and garden herbs. Medium+ finish, chalky tannins, savory, ending with herbs, spice, cedar and slight fruit, savory. Nice, will continue to age. — 4 months ago
Went perfectly with some spicy Indian food. Best pairing I’ve ever done. — a month ago
Dark straw in color. Nectar and honey on the nose. A delicious semi-sweet wine with apricot, honey, cinnamon, pear, and candied peach on the palate. High acid, medium body, and a long finish. Eleven years on and drinking beautifully. — a month ago
Dark yellow…a honey color. Honeysuckle/jasmine aromas. Sweet apples on the bud. Rich, full bodied with a medium finish. — 5 months ago

Well, glad I kept this for another 6 years to see how it evolved. Cork was in amazing shape. Brick red. Almost tawny in glass. Dried flowers and herbs on the nose. Not a lot of fruit on the nose. Palate is more dried flowers, roses, leather, the faintest touch of pouch tobacco, plums, dried fig, maybe persimmon. It dries the mouth with tannin and acidity. Definitely secondary flavors starting. Probably the best wine deal I’ve ever had for this type of quality. Wish I had one more to try in 2028. — 22 days ago
