Expressive nose with waxy lemons, a bit of matchstick reduction, some brioche. There’s also some white peach, white flowers. Quite complex. Rich and yet fresh. Intriguing & enticing.
Beautiful texture on the palate, love the mouthfeel. Layered, quite rich, impeccably balanced & poised.
Very elegant. Slightly creamy texture balanced by racy, juicy acidity. Yellow stone fruit in the back. And a long, saline finish.
Somehow I didn’t like it a year ago, maybe it was a bad bottle.

Made from low yielding 90-year old vines, deep Ruby with aromas of red/black fruits and floral spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum with cacao, black pepper and floral citrus. Highly fragrant with lime, lime blossom, custard malolactic goodness. Maybe some pine and woody secondary notes.
Drinks perfectly with a mature rounded mouth feel balanced by strong but not edgy acids.
Both easily quaffable but also demanding enough respect to take the time to taste it.
