2023 vintage.
Bright ruby red in the glass.
Aromas grab you immediately wth ripe cherries and lifted dark floral notes.
Bright ripe cherries, tea, young leather, a bit of subois earthy notes with a finish of Morello cherry bitterness but not overpowering.
Polished tannins with crisp acidity. Biodynamicly grown.
Try Corte Pavone Brunello di Montalcino if you have the opportunity.

Needs food but not the spiciest red. And not too dry either. This is happens to be the strongest wine we tried tonight (1/8/2026) — 6 months ago
Dark ruby with cherry and leather aromas. On the bud, it’s full bodied with a long finish. Dark fruit, leather, earth, and nice spice. Great with our Calabrese pizza! — 9 months ago
Delicious! Very mild but with a complex flavor. Very pleasant. — 4 years ago
Very tasty. Sweet and earthy. Intense flavor. From Howie, February 2021. — 5 years ago
Didn’t even need a decant, this babe was ready to go the second I popped the cork. This was all dried blackberries and dark plum with sturdy tannins begging for a rack of lamb. — 6 years ago
Medium acidity, apple on the nose, stone fruit, maybe some tropical and honeyed notes on the palate. — 2 months ago

Nice and light, great berries and definitely pepper. Really great easy drinking yet quite interesting light red. Could not find a vintage anywhere though… NV?? — 9 months ago

Fresh, enticing, elegant.
Nose with earthy, musky raspberries, mulberries, a touch of damson plum, and a light flowery whiff
On the palate this is silky smooth. Zero rusticity, chewy tannins or sharp acidity - so often found in Montepulciano.
This has flow, energy, good depth, nice minerality underneath the fruit. And all this with 12% alc.
This is not at all what I expected! What a delight, what a nice surprise!
Very elegant, smooth, delicious.
A brilliant example the Montepulciano can deliver great wine!
Only but - you get 2 bottles of Ziereisen’s Syrah for one of this - and blind I would not be able to tell the difference.
