Despite a 2+ hr decant this was a coiled titanium spring. Shy nose gave only wafts of schist (full of schist?), and led the palate with steely black fruit. I watched Zach Snyder’s Justice League last night. This Musigny is Superman’s new black suit. Power and force. Timeless. Impenetrable. Awesome. Don’t touch this for at least 10 years. 🙏 my friend! — 17 days ago
Grand Vin - and proud they should be. A lovey burg. Dark fruit and lovey perfumes aroma on the nose. A hint or tobacco and hint on tar on the palate - maybe even a soupçon of chocolate at the tail end of a long elegant finish. — 2 days ago
Medium lemon color. Like sunshine. Aromas of lemon and orange pith, limestone, green herbs, citrus flowers. Secondary aromas of cedar.
Medium body, medium alcohol, high acidity.
Flavors are green grass, orange pith, a little white pepper, and salinity. Texture is almost oily - like citrus oil - coats the mouth with a long finish.
A fun and interesting wine. Drink now for the acidity and minerality.
This will pair well with a simple roasted chicken, grilled seafood or vegetable medley. — 5 days ago
