Unassuming. Strict, quiet, barely there aromas of gunpowder, white flowers, blanched almonds. The pale hay colors suggest this is light and easy. It’s not.
It’s 14.5% - fatty oily, type A introvert of a wine.
Slightly hot, we get yellow peach, jasmine, almond. Drink this at cellar temp and drink slow, as she charges quick. — 5 days ago
A treat I shall make no bones about it I adore a dessert wine. Provided it is high quality (and this is) it is sweet but balanced and makes me feel like I’m either on vacation I’d living out some fantasy vacation. Sexy florals aka this wine is me in a bubble bath. With wine. — 24 days ago
Q is for Quinquina. Smells like a fortified wine with slight currant aromas, a good amount of acid gets the tongue tingling, the raisin and currant aromas come through the flavors but the body is light compared to a sherry or tawny port. A very nice aperitif... and we'll see how it does in a cocktail! #atoz2021 — a day ago
First encounter as with the white. Cved probably soon after the white but no notes. Deep garnet color and autumnal forest and dark red fruits notes. Balance of acids and earth, good texture. Interesting. 1:1 Grenache noir and Cab! — 5 hours ago
Dark cherry nose... On the palate, I found I wanted more concentration, but the cherries and earthiness show very well none the less... A bit peppery throughout. Nice but tame. — 5 days ago
Another gem unearthed from the cellar. — 2 days ago
