Philippe Bornard

Point Barre Arbois Pupillin Ploussard 2015

Typically, I'd say opening this in the midst of aged greats would be a bad idea (as with what happened to the 16' Vasse Felix Cab Sauv), but somehow this worked... For me, at least. The crowd was pretty much divided though. I thought it was a nice break... A sort of fresh red kabi to cleanse our palate in between reds. But can you even call this a red... Such a delicate colour... It's more like a rosé or orange wine 🤣 red currant, sour cherries, citrus, cinammon, wet stone, a touch of musk. Delicious ploussard! — 8 days ago

Cline Cellars

Single Vineyard Series Bridgehead Vineyard Zinfandel 2013

Big break is one of my favorites from Cline and never disappoints. Easy to drink, with lots of fruit spice and tannin. 15.5% abv. Can cellar it. — 18 days ago

The Organized Crime Winery

Break-in Beamsville Bench VQA Pinot Noir 2016

Wow!! Very surprisingly good. Light, juicy, fruity, strawberry. Definitely didn’t think this kind of Pinot existed in Ontario. — 2 days ago

Bruery Terreux

Frucht: Guava

All celebration in an ebulliently uplifting, white, cloud wall. Huge fruit cup of cherry and peach, pear and strawberry bounces from the glass, wafting outward. A funkiness evokes ripest dragonfruit, and yes, guava. Sourest lemon-orange combo pushes forward in a citrus hammer, with tart tartaric energy evoking lime and hybrid citrus fruits at various stages of ripeness. Tangy and sour while still maintaining the vestiges of a skin-and-all kumquat sweetness. Finishes dry, and acid-refreshing. — 20 days ago
