PnP. Definitely drinking young.

Dark purple color. Nose has modest OH, blackberry, and tar. Dark Chocolate and black cherry on the palate. Deep wine and could have better structure. Finish is medium.

Opaque red. Sharply defined red fruit, floral and Moroccan spice aromas, along with intense mineral, garrigue and cola nuances. Shows superb depth as well as vivacity on the palate, offering juicy red and blue fruit, floral pastille and spicecake flavors and an exotic hint of blood orange. This is perhaps a little closed right now. Syrah-dominant with a fair bit of oak-treatment so will need a little while to blossom. Although it had the mellow character of an early-drinking wine, the winemaker told me that it needs 15 years to show its best. In fact, when I told him the 2006 I opened the other week seemed a little closed he told me to forget about it for another 10 years. Clearly one for the long-haul. — 8 years ago

A beautifully balanced, intense evocation of South of France Syrah. Though the Delectable header doesn't show it this wine is from Chateau de l'Ou and is technically an IGP Côtes Catalanes. Think Northern Rhône on steroids - less minerality but more fruit - cassis, blackberry, mocha and exceptional depth. Very long finish as well and still a few years to grow. Stunning — 8 years ago
