A rose with some muscle to it. I have wanted to open this bottle for a long time. Finally opened and enjoyed. Maraschino cherry. Kicking acidity. — 11 days ago

Coeur de Roy Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir 2009

Medium deep garnet, ruby core with medium light garnet rim . This is quite meaty and deep on the nose , with earthy dark cherry , porcini , sweet blackberry and spiced sous bois . On the palate this is quite severe and serious , darker fruits , ripe blackberry , cherry and hint of blackcurrant, herbal hints. Quite gritty , slightly drying tannins , fresh acidity . Earthy , dusty dark cherry edged finish , ok medium length. Quite ambitious for a village and arguably not ready yet , tannins need a little more time to integrate. From now and over the next 5 years, if not longer . — 3 months ago

@Andrew Cullimore i’m still sitting on my ‘ 05’s from this producer. Stylistically not everyone’s cup of tea..

Yes , I would agree with you there @Ira Schwartz , and no it’s not my preferred style , but it is certainly a well made wine . Based on my experience with 2005 in general , you will probably need to leave your Dugat Py’s another decade !

La Noue Sancerre Rouge Pinot Noir 2021

High stakes fall baseball and a Sancerre rouge. This is quite nice for the difficult ‘21 vintage. Color is super light. Nose is quite fragrant, with wafting sweet cherry juice, a mid-toned floral note, and flinty crushed stone. Enters gently on the palate, with cherry juice leading, but a bitterish note quickly appears and accelerates on the slightly short finish. Overall, a fine effort given conditions, and lovely with a simply roasted chicken. — 2 months ago

Les Ursulines Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2022

Aromas of dark fruits, soft almost silky tannins. Earthy with a peppery finish. Very nice Burgnone Pinot. — 4 months ago
