Wunderkammer Biermanufaktur. Chinook Insects. Chinook hop pale ale with mixed culture and dry hop. 5.4% ABV — 4 years ago
Lemon curd colored; fluff puff of alpine clouds. Bikinis and bows meet Arabic calligraphy lacing. Lemon freshness entwines with orange, tangerine, Brazil nut, and a dusting of pineapple-grapefruit. Soft cirrus citrus layers drift across the palate in pale orange and yellow lemon cremes as light as foam; dried pineapple, powdered lime, lemon-lime pith, metallic-electric grapefruit that shimmers through the crystalline hop finish of this racy and delicious DDHNEIPA. .

10th Anniversary IPA Re-release for the 20th Anniversary Encore Series, big big west coast hops, pine, citrus, peach, orange peel, sweet malt, 10% AVB, Triple IPA, not technically a style, especially back then, adds the new hops now common, Summit and chinook hops, Outstanding back then, and still very impressive, the closest beer to compare with this is Avery's Maharaja, which is still Outstanding as well — 10 years ago
This comes out every year from January till April, or when it sells out, and it always does, my all time favorite from this brewery, big double, borders on triple this year IPA, this one is just so big in the many west coast hops, I.B.U. are 90, AVB 9.5% Outstanding tropical and citrus notes, Almost perfect Double IPA, as it warms up, the AVB's kick in, last few years in was lower, 9%, but the hops this year, which they call Experimental Hops, Millennium, Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, are not anymore, but the combination of these hops are Awesome , and because it is brewed super fresh. and dry hopped, this is just one beer, one IPA, no hop head should not have, if you do not, you are a fool, Great, Great beer — 11 years ago
Very tasty — 13 years ago
Sunlight des tropiques (like a famous Belgian song) brewed in the Mons area. Session IPA with strong ananas and tropical fruit hints. The label points a variety if hops: citra, mandarina, bavaria, chinook, colombus. Perfect. — 3 years ago
This is a new beer launched to market on 6th June 2022 by the Black Sheep brewery.
It is a very pleasant black IPA looking like a porter or stout but with a strong hoppy presence.
The brewer says "Black malt, chocolate malt and flaked oats join Maris Otter pale malt to add roasty caramel and chocolate notes and gives the beer an intense dark appearance. Masses of Cascade, Columbus, Chinook and Citra hops create woody pine, biting citrus and bright tropical flavours".
To drink, it was as they say above. I thought the malt and hop balance worked well making sure the citrussy hops didn't overpower the malt flavours. — 4 years ago
A very west coast IPA to the tee, citrusy, piney, a touch of malt to support the nice hops, Magum, Willamette, Casade, Citra, Columbus, Centennial, Chinook, Two Row Vienna Dextrapils malts, Classic style West Coast, One of my home town breweries here in Henderson Nevada, Very good — 10 years ago
Re-review of this classic landmark beer, why? New label, new description on label, this was and still is such a important beer in the craft beer Community, brewed since 1997 and still stands as one of the best IPA' s in the world, Centennial, Chinook and Magnum hops give it that classic base of West Coast IPA, that started the whole IPA movement in other beers and breweries, this was the beer that set the stage for what is now the great IPA 's in the west and east coast, such a monumental and important beer, The influence cannot be understated, still as I said, it holds its place as a great beer today — 10 years ago
Single hop series, this time with Galaxy bred by those fun-loving Aussies in 1994. I get dank hashish, lemonade, tropical fruit, and freshly mowed lawn. Lightish body and a dry finish, though alcohol contributes a lengthy subtle sweetness. Excellent balance and a pleasure to drink. Galaxy and Nelson are my favorite hops right now; and Noble does them justice; would be educational to taste them side by side. — 12 years ago
2020 vintage.
Passerina is an ancient grape grown in Marche in clay and calcareous soil. Fermented in stainless steel with ageing “sur lies” for 4 months.
Fragrant and floral with citrus and honeysuckle on the nose. Dry with medium acidity. Pear, almond and citrus with a savoury, stoney minerality on the finish.
We BBQ‘d local fish.
Ling cod cheeks, Sablefish collars and Chinook Salmon bellies.

Very sweet! But I guess it is a honey mead! Lots of strong current taste, with a hint of other berries! Would definitely buy again as a dessert wine! — 9 years ago
