Really nice amaro, both fruity and alpine. Not too boozy (25%) so easy to drink. — 4 years ago
Minerality, crispness, mostly dry…a profile I love. I was pleasantly surprised by this find at Fred Meyer!

If you are ever unconvinced that Slovakia doesn’t make good wine you need to try is wine from Stekov. Fred 8 Is light bodied wine but finds that balance between complex and easy drinking. I saw another reviewer said Brett on the nose and totally agree it’s a little bit barley wine co- fermented but still super ripe. Would be so good with cold charcuterie or grilled chicken. — 3 years ago

Charles "Champagne Charlie" Heidsieck was one of the first to recognize the importance of the U.S. as a Champagne market. A blend with 40% reserve wines, fruit and floral bouquet, with orange blossom & yeasty notes. Fine bubbles, nice mousse, showing quality. Outstanding rich flavors of apple, pear and biscuit, well balanced, good structure, creamy. Long finish ending with toasty nutty oak & mineral notes. — a year ago

Cheers to Champagne Charlie!
This is the Charles Heidsieck Brut Rosé Réserve. It’s made with a blend of Pinot Noir (40%), Chardonnay (35%), Meunier (25%). It’s a non-vintage wine that cellared in Charles Heidsieck’s famous chalk cellars (crayeres) for 4+ years.
It’s a beautiful salmon hue in appearance and offers complex aromas and flavors including strawberry shortcake, lemon curd, fresh raspberry, baked peach, pie crust, brioche, cream, nougat, toasted almond croissant, candied nuts, and dried pink rose petals. On the palate is a fine and creamy mousse and vibrant acidity.
It’s positively delicious, complex, and balanced. A non-vintage that drinks like a vintage champagne. Yum! — 7 months ago
