Tasted the B. Leighton at K Vintners. B. Leighton is made by Charles's Smith's Wine Director Brendon Leighton made in conjunction with Charles. On the notes, sweet blue fruits and mixed dark berries leap out of the glass. Spices, loamy soils, dark florals and purple florals. The palate is M body with just M+ tannins. It starts with ripe, elegant, blue fruits, blackberries, dark cherries, plum, black raspberries, strawberries and again the heat intensity spices overlay the fruits. Loamy soils, soft volcanic soils, black tea, violets, red rose petals, perfect round acidity and lean, elegant, beautiful Burgundian finish. Really enjoyed all the nuances this wine offered. — 8 years ago

I have rated this previously....love this Rosé..Charles Joguet...never disappoints! A nice find at Johns Grocery in Iowa City. Bowl full of red fruit...Jolly Rancher green apple..fuller bodied than most Rosé wines! Great sipper for thunderstorms tonight!!

Every bit worthy of a 9.5. Struggling to stay away from the 9.6. Never considered Cold Springs to be that vanilla rich BlackBerry infused Howell Mtn 'norm' that I see a bunch. This is a black cherry infused monster with a very potent and powerful front. Some acidity but mostly fruit on the front. More of an herbal infused middle with a touch of beef jerkey, black cherry, mint, cola. Finish still tannic but peppery. Probably the 'B' barrels of Aloft, and would love to do a side by side comparison. — 7 years ago

Michael Cruse displays his deft touch with this compelling B d B. Fine bubbles release aromas of green apple, yeasty-essential oils, and citrus peel. Nice weight, cut and length. This continues to develop complexity since release. — 8 years ago
