Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

The evolution of this bottle over two plus hours in decant is remarkable. Aromatic. Full bodied, dark red/black fruit, white pepper, black licorice. Excellent!

So approachable and a crowd pleaser.

While Mike Smith is busy Bottlerocking I was rocking this bottle which is in an awesome spot right now. Has the myriad signature lush fruit profile and the tannins have mellowed to the point where they are barely there. Drink and enjoy while this stays in perfect balance for the next few years.

Continuing to crush the ‘14s with reckless abandon. I blame @Mike Smith for making them so delicious.

Once I put the green light on the ‘14s I haven’t been able to stop. Every time I open the cellar nothing else looks as good.

Deep purplish red. Tons of dark fruit, blue and black with spices. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and full bodied. Rich and voluptuous with tons of black and blueberries. Solid spices, cinnamon and nutmeg. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2028. #myprecious

The 2015s only arrived a few weeks ago and the 2013s are still unfolding so its a perfect time to rip the 2014s. @Benjamin Keator maybe it’s not quite a Carter BTK but it’s damn good.

I've had several '14s and they've all provided a ton of pleasure on PnP. Softer than the '13s at this point, but not weak by any means. Still great dark fruit, with solid acidity and medium tannins provide nice balance and structure. Drink now with a short decant while you wait on the '13 to come around.

Enjoyable young fruity Napa cab. Nice Mia of more blue than red fruit. Some dust/cedar tones on the finish.
