2020 vintage. Tasted over the course of 1.5 hours. Medium body. Darker fruits (similar to Troplong-Mondot but less structure) evident from the get go. Plenty of upfront and mid-palate grip with things softening a bit in the later going. Picked up two bottles from Costco...seem to remember it retailing somewhere between $26-$33 a bottle. Definitely worth that pricing and beyond but this specimen wasn't hitting the high score/notes suggested by the Neal Martin review or Delectable others on this particular vintage. Maybe my palate was blown out by the previous wine...a 2019 Barolo. Perhaps. Will likely roll back and pick up two more bottles just to have laying around since it was drinking nicely anyway for the price. Was unfamiliar with this producer and a bit more "practice" won't hurt. 11.26.24. — a month ago

Last bottle of a summer dinner- no decant. 2nd tasting of this vintage & much more expressive than the first. Throws Brett a decent amount & imagine some might prefer a substantial decant, though I like the funkiness. Fine toothed &a lovely grainy, slightly chewy texture & rather elegant; cassis, black currant, smoked beef jerky, & black cherry on palate & nose. Not complex at this stage but who needs it given the enjoyment factor. Post meal ( or probably blended into the end) of grilled BBQ chicken, French lentilsw labneh, & local tomato salad. Gorgeous wine and drinking so well and has that ultra pure and crystallized 2019 darker fruits. Nose is black and red cherrie, earth, minerals, kirsch and blackberry. Dynamite clarity to the nose. Palate is so juicy and so concentrated with a bit of a muddle now as it needs to come into focus but it will. Such purity and depth. Let’s see how air treats this wine. — 3 months ago

Super interesting ages rose paired with rose octopus at chèvre d’or. They made us blind it in these black glasses. Thought it was a heavy white at first. With Manu and Hitomi. Overlooking eze with the best seats in the house bc Manu met the som at a bar in nice last week — 6 months ago
