Not my first taste of Rose des Riceys but probably my favorite. A light clear cherry red in the glass. Part rosé, part Burgundy. The nose on this thing is just tremendous. A bowl of candied strawberries, cake batter, and fragrant peaches. Strong floral aromas combine with dried cherries and a pinch of nutmeg. I could go on and on about this nose, it’s magnificent.
100% Pinot Noir produced in tiny amounts from a single vineyard in Aube, this is such a precious and unique bottle. Serve chilled to really allow it to develop over time. Beautiful high acidity here with a distinctively ethereal quality. Low alcohol with absolutely no heat, just magic.
The nose transfers to the palate with more strawberry and peaches. Spiced cherries and apricots shine here alongside plums, white pepper, and rosemary. This is one of the prettiest wines I’ve had in forever. Magic wrapped up bliss. — 13 days ago

One of three bottles of bubbly (2014 Ultramarine BdN and 2010 Larmandier-Bernier VV du Levant) opened when a good friend, @Shawn R , was in town. EO is one of my favorite champagne producers, but this was actually my first experience with the rosé.
5yrs on the lees, disgorged mid 2019. Slightly orange pink in the glass. Initially, it was very razor sharp and intense. Jasmine, orange zest, and dried apricots on the nose. On the palate, the intensity picked up with a strong backbone of limestone, chalk, tangerine and some honeysuckle. When this paired with food, it showed its true colors with a touch more body and richness. Even more impressive was how much better this was on day two...likely a champagne that could benefit from a decant at this age. Much more creamy and showing more red Berry fruit like raspberries, rhubarb and also a little floral. Yeast driven notes didn’t appear until day two. Complex, intense and lots of potential. — 5 days ago
So so fine. Nose is all strawberries, just insanely pretty. Some red cherries or maybe Rainer cherries. So clean. So vivid. Some florals as well. So delicate. Palate is dense, juicy and bright with awesome complexity, mouthfeel and a brilliant mousse. Man this is juicy. Uber clean. Really brilliant how the mousse is so fine and elevates the mouthfeel. Like really high end champagne. — 5 days ago
Melville Winery, Pinot Noir-based, rosé bubbles made using the Méthode Traditionelle and grapes from the 2016, 2017, and 2018 vintages.
Crisp, refreshing, notes of yellow apple, green pear, raspberry, yeast, bread dough, white flowers. Bone dry. Lovely pale salmon hue. Cheers!! 🥂
Melville, Blanc de Noir, Estate - NV. ABV 12.3%. Sta. Rita Hills, Santa Barbara, CA. — 16 hours ago
Consistently checks a lot of boxes; lovely color, balance of richness and focus, chalky, brimming with lip-smacking white and red fruits, refreshing. Red currant, white strawberry, bing cherry, white peach, salt, crushed chalk, sweet spices, fresh dough. — 16 hours ago
This is how we spent our Saturday night. Can you really go wrong? I don’t think so..
A big thanks to Cape Mentelle in WA’s Margaret River region for sending over this sample for us to try. It’s an intriguing blend of Shiraz 65%, Grenache 15%, Tempranillo 7%, Sangiovese 4%, Zinfandel 4% Mourvedre 3%, Viognier 2%.
For me, I found this Rosé on the savoury side, which I really enjoyed. It’s also has a bit of age on it being 2018 which I believe gave it a bit of extra complexity.
In the glass it’s a pale peach colour with a vibrant pink hue. On the nose there’s savoury berries, citrus and floral notes. While in the mouth it has wonderful bright citrus acidity with orchard fruits, lemongrass and a sprinkling of pepper. It’s more than just a fresh and fruity Rosé, it’s got character and sass 💁♀️
This #wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.

Medium Ruby with intense aromas of floral, oak and smoky herb spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and strawberry with mint, licorice and toasty oak. Lively acidity, good balance, fine tight tannins, long finish ending with fruit, toasty oak and earthy character. Very nice, just starting to drink well, should develop nicely over next decade. The 2019 J.H. Wheeler Rosé, 100% Cabernet Franc from the Crocker Vineyard in St. Helena, is absolutely gorgeous. Beautifully layered and perfumed in the glass, the Rosé possesses striking complexity in a bright, airy style that is incredibly appealing. This is such a delicious wine.
