@Delectable This is their Rosé from Cabernet. Please add.
When you arrive at AXR, they greet you with their Rosé. It’s pressed from 100% Cabernet.
The extraction is right at my preferred limit. The color here is slightly darker. The palate is round, rich with good viscosity. The fruit flavors are a little darker; black cherries, blackberries, strawberries, watermelon, orange citrus, really excellent mid minerality, red & pink & rose pedals, refreshing acidity and a smartly polished finish.
We enjoyed this 2019 quite a bit.

Prestige Rosé stands out for its intense hue whose secret lies in the fact that it is a blend, complex & costly to produce. The blend, 15% of the best Pinot Noir from Montagne de Reims & Les Riceys added to the final blend, giving this cuvée its unique color & intensity. The wine contains Chardonnay (30%) completing the blend bringing elegance to Taittinger’s signature style. Red fruit aromas with strawberry and cherry flavors, elegant, long finish ending with chalky minerality and slight yeasty notes. — 6 days ago
I’m starting to learn a lot about Rosè, therefore enjoying them much more. I’ve learned to read the bottle to see what blend (if any) of grapes the wine is made from. For instance, I have always liked a Rosè of Pinot Noir. This Spanish Rosè is a blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha. Absolutely delicious!! I love the fruit way more than the floral in a Rosé and this is full of fruit! . #900 for me!! Cheers! — 8 days ago
The color is striking. More orange than rose. The aroma is like salted orange butter. On the palate it’s round and balanced. The usual notes of strawberry and honeydew are there but there’s also prosciutto wrapped cantaloupe, and maybe grapefruit. Finishes with some nice minerality. I was holding onto this in my fridge like it was a “big deal” but I shouldn’t have. It’s very drinkable. — 13 days ago
The nose is a juicy slice of watermelon and the fruity acid strangely reminds me of ketchup-loaded bbq hot dogs in the park at the same time. The palate is zippy with spikey fun jumps just like the urchin pictured on the label. This slip-n-slider of a sparkler rolls with fuller strawberry guava body. Among the more tastefully interesting sparkling modern wines. It’s almost thanksgiving but I’m suddenly ready to celebrate the Fourth of July! — 6 days ago
Beau hasard! — 2 days ago
It's time for a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon for #FridayCabernetfix.
A pretty color of dark ruby with a wide reddish/ brick rim.
Strong fruity nose with blackberries, blueberries, cedar, cooked cherries, spices, licorice, vanilla, wild flowers, dark chocolates, pencil lead, light earth and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs. Soft and smooth.
Dry on the palate with cherries, sweet strawberries, blueberries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, tobacco and peppercorn.
Spicy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious wine from Napa Valley. Elegant and interesting. Nicely balanced with a soft mouthfeel.
Showing nice complexity at this point. This Single Vineyard is good by itself or with food.
Good right out of the bottle with lots of cedar notes, which calm down after an hour of airtime. Would age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
I paired it with meats and cheeses. Tasty and intriguing. Tangy and spicy.
A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, with Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Aged in French oak barrels (50% new) for 21 months.
14.7% alcohol by volume.
