Great wine. Will improve but not a bad time to open. Aromatics started with a distinctive smoky or reductive note that I couldn’t quite place but dissipated and morphed. Good structure. — a month ago
Yellow with aromas of dandelion, pear, steely minerality, and candied apple. Nice acidity, long finish, and luscious. Flavors of candied apple and grassy notes. Wonderful! — 2 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2010 Corton-Charlemagne pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of green apple, passion fruit, lemon, white flowers, slivered almond and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and slightly buttery. Apparently, this vintage had a reputation for suffering from some premox issues. This bottle was pristine. Based off this example, drink now through 2035. — 21 days ago
Full golden color in the glass. It leads with dried pineapple and maybe dried apricot, with a lot of intensity on the nose. The palate confirms it, adding a slight spicy note with a surprising bit of phenolic grip and enough acidity to balance, though it has gone clearly past its prime. — a month ago
