Château Bellevue Figeac

Château Cormeil-Figeac

Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Very fresh nose of red berries, and medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, red currants, earth, light wood, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, tobacco leaf, herbs and peppercorn.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 6 year old Merlot from Saint Emilion is still very young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Elegant and complex, but a little restrained now.

A good quality wine. Very fresh and young tasting, and a good food wine.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years. Has good potential to become a 94+ point wine.

A blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

$30.

Schiste Bellevue Morgon 2016

These wines when young have felt dense - but at 9 years have shed some fat, with sappy but lively fruit and a tense, mineral energy — 4 months ago

Saint Emilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2022

Lush, full bodied Bordeaux at a ridiculous value. Dense but balanced. All the usual notes of blackberry coulis, currants etc but, man, just eye opening fruit that still feels old school. — 8 months ago

Petit-Figeac Red Blend 2021

A great option as a 2nd brand, still delivers a truly unique and balanced wine based on Merlot, Cab Franc and Cab Sauv., a bit less full-bodied that the usual Figeac. Loved the progression as it opens, nicely complex, very long finish and refined texture and solid mouthfeel. Never disappoints! — 5 months ago

Touraine Cabernet Franc Rosé 2022

Depression cherry color. Subtly smells of fruits rouges. Kisses apple and cassis.

Currently accompanied by a fire roasted tomato stew.

St. Emilion Red Bordeaux Blend 1998

Truncated dinner party notes. Surprised this was still kicking as vigorously as it is. Yes, still red fruit, but with secondary and tertiary notes adding so much complexity. Delicious. — 13 days ago

Red Bordeaux Blend 2020

Really delicious wine. Deep flavor and incredibly smooth. Paired great with a burger, but it would probably paragraph with just about anything. — 3 months ago

St. Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

This is surprisingly good for a bargain-priced St. Emmie. Nose shows clear, ripe plummy Merlot fruit, some clay-inflected earth, some underbrush, and subtle, pleasant vegetal note. Very nice balance and mouthfeel. Not a bruiser, but more on the elegant side. Fruit, tannin, acids all nicely dancing together. I like this a lot! — 7 months ago

@Tom Casagrande, I have always had a soft spot for St. Emilion, my favorite of all the Bordeaux communes (well, at least taking pricing into account)!!
