Cerro Añon Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2019

A plum, vanilla and leather. High acidity, but, soft tannins. Very good tempranillo, from reliable producer. — 9 months ago

Fattoria del Cerro

Vin Santo di Montepulciano Trebbiano Malvasia 2018

Great desert wine. Sweet on its own, but not overwhelmingly so, allowing it to pair with other sweet bites (in our case, an ice cream sandwich). — 3 years ago

Fattoria del Cerro

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Sangiovese 2017

solid wine, more tannic than some i’ve had. would definitely recommend. — 5 years ago

Bodegas Cerro La Barca

Vegas Altas Ancestral Xarello Blend

A dry sparkling that tastes of honey. Had the 2017 vintage. Drank on the couch while it stormed outside upstate with Majken & Hattie. — 6 years ago

3 Miradas Vino de Pueblo Sierras de Montilla Pedro Ximénez 2015

100% Pedro Ximenez from several plots in Riofrio Alto and Cerro Macho in Montilla, aged under flor for about 8 months. Clean, precise nose with hints of rubber (surprisingly reminiscent of Riesling). Dry, mineral, citrus and melon on the palate. Good acidity — 5 years ago

Domaine du Closel-Château des Vaults

Cuvée Isa Moelleux Savennières Chenin Blanc

Deep gold. Abundant nose of dried apples and golden raisins. Sturdy full-bodied palate echoes the nose with a hint of yellow flowers. Strikingly firm acidity from entry to finish. Has clearly held up well over the decades, and is showing graciously now. A tasty treat in its own, but really shines paired with tarte tatin. — 7 years ago

Cab franc dominated, really nice ripe fruit. None of the harsh/green vegetal notes that some cabernet franc can have. Very well done! — 7 months ago

Vigneti del Vulture

Piano del Cerro Aglianico del Vulture 2010

Mmmmm. Smoky, earthy, rich, dense, smooth. Tea, raisins, tobacco notes, reasonably integrated structure with some heft. Nothing like a good 15 year old Aglianico with the mouthfeel and finish of a young Amarone. — a year ago

Isa Côtes de Thongue Rosé Blend 2018

Melon, grapefruit, slight sandalwood spice. Boozy, too.

Light, light bubbles I’m guessing from the organics. Love this blend of sweet, savory, and acid.

Wonderful white table wine. Fun to drink.
