No formal notes - dining with friends at a BYO Italian restaurant in Surfers Paradise. Interesting background story - this is made by Australian winemaker, Dave Fletcher, in the old Barbaresco train station. Dave is one of the chief winemakers at Ceretto. Ceretto allow him to make wine under his own label on the side. A well made correct medium bodied rendition showing red fruits and fine powdery tannins. A great match with Fettuccini Puttanesca. — 5 years ago

Drank as 2nd bottle with Ryan and Elissa. Wonderful meal. — a year ago
Well … it’s always a treat to drink something so old. Yet, a bit musty (as in lacking energy yet with just a hint of the other - beautiful ‘must’) and very peppery. Still … interesting and enjoyable. — 3 years ago
Complexity in a bottle! Light ruby color. Outstanding Barolo features aromas of leather, pencil shavings, purple flowers, earth and a touch of dried meat. Sour red fruits (cherries, raspberries and pomegranate) dominate the pallet with beautiful accents of Asian spices and coffee. Structure is beautiful. Tannins are present but balance perfectly with the acidity. Thank You Keith S! — 5 years ago

Pale Ruby with a lighter tawny rim. Possibly the lightest bodied Barolo I’ve ever tried. Herbs, Pine needles, red fruits (cherry) and menthol on the nose. The palate, even though light to medium bodied has medium plus intensity - very savoury. Very lush and driven by dark flavors and tones. The firm tannins display how well structured this Barbaresco is — 4 years ago
Delicious. Picked up at winery. Cherry light-medium juicy love it. With Jonathon Sheila — 5 years ago
30 October 2020: Josie is TEN! Yay! Happy Birthday! We should be eating McDonald’s Apple Pies and instead we are eating steak and pecorino w honey and tagliatelle with truffle (and butter) and ragu plus a potato with lard at Associazione Chianti. NBD. We miss Josie and the wine was great (though needed to be chilled). Tomorrow is Halloween and then it’s November and Tuesday is the Election. FUCK. PLEASE COME TOGETHER. ok. Time for Tiramisu. — 6 years ago

New wine and grape for us. Really enjoyed this one. Light straw color. A little bit of lemon and floral notes. Some pear and stone fruits. A touch of minerality and a slight effervescence that made me think of vinho verde and champagne. Would drink this again in a heartbeat. — 5 months ago
