It’s been 2 years since I have tried this wine, still great as ‘05 was a great vintage. In 1874, Bodegas Montecillo was founded by Celestino Navajas. Deep Ruby, Aromas of red fruit, spice and earthy notes. Ripe Berry and Cherry with cacao and pepper spice. Soft tannins, lingering, good balanced, drinking great now. Good value. — 6 years ago
2013 - A particular white born in a red wines area, #Valpolicella. It's a Rondinella grape, naturally modified from red to white, and then reproduced by Celestino Gaspari, the owner of Zymè. It's part (60%) blended with Golden Traminer, Kerner and Incrocio Manzoni, that bring the aromatic texture. Awesome wine! — 10 years ago
Founded by Celestino Navajas in 1874 in the town of Fuenmayor in Spain's Rioja Alta region, the major and most traditional winemaking region in Spain. Deep red with berry fruit and spice aromas. Cherry and plum with savory tannins, smooth texture on lingering finish ending with slight earthy tones. Nice value! — 8 years ago
Nose and front of the palate are great. Savory, lemon, melon, grassy, saline, high acidity. But then the flavor just falls off a cliff and disappears. — 3 years ago
Showing amazingly, small red berries, dusty earth, light mulberry, slight sweet impressions, silky with fine powdery tannins almost completely resolved; drinking like a well aged Burgundy. Fantastic with mushroom risotto at Celestino — 5 years ago
Fruit, floral, long fine tannic arc. Smooth and balanced. At Celestino Pasadena. — 9 years ago

Nose of dark cherry, licorice, smoke. Palate is earthy with leather, undergrowth, anice. Acidity is prominent up front with mouth watering experience followed by long lasting but subtle dry tannins. Opens up wonderfully after about an hour where the dark cherries and other dark fruit flavors pop. — 4 months ago
