Medium lemon color, aromas of stone and citrus fruits with floral and mineral notes,
aged for 15 months in 64% new oak, rest in neutral oak. On the palate flavors of apple and pear with citrus wrapped in a nutty texture. Medium+ finish, lively acidity, ending with fruit, spice and savory citrus character.

Monica drink 3 glasses before I had 2! Very smooth and buttery. Went great with shrimp scampi pasta. — 2 months ago
Cherry, Raspberry, strawberry aromas with a touch of sage. Red cherries on the palate with a medium tannins. I think will benefit from a bit more cellar time. — 19 hours ago
2016 vintage. Last tasted 1.14.24 (9.4). Ripped through the last two bottles. Medium/medium-heavy body. Still plenty of meaty/gamey qualities afoot but undergoing potty training and getting domesticated. Just starting to get cultured and “pretty.” 4.12.24. — a month ago
Closer to the Reds I'm currently liking right now (Pommard), but perhaps more on the over-ripe side, especially after it's been opened for a day. It's definitely jammy strawberries, with some dark ripe plums, acidity (location and soils - shale, limestone and sandy loam), dance-ability and fun on the palate right after opening. More cherry and oak notes after 24 hours but overall something that goes really well with food (heirloom tomatoes and burrata, white and pink pasta sauces). When I saw Santa Maria Valley I knew I'd like this wine and I would definitely buy this again! — 7 days ago

This IS Santa Barbara County Pinot! First taste was a big burst of fruit. Not too sweet, not simple and unsophisticated, not a jammy Zin bomb, mind you. Instead, more like a zing of bright, pure, winey fruit. Remarkable and memorable. We had the 2022 vintage in a magnum bottle so perhaps that helped preserve its freshness and purity. We enjoyed this Big Mama at the Palm Restaurant in downtown LA, celebrating my daughter Rachel’s graduation from UCLA Law School. Congratulations, Rachel! — 7 days ago
