Clear, pale ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity primary and secondary aromas of cherries, cloves, and dried leaves; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, low tannins, high alcohol, medium minus body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of hibiscus, strawberry jolly ranchers, and tar with a long finish. Complex nose of red and black fruits with wood, earth, vegetables, dark coffee, light mildew, spices, tobacco leaf and light forest floor.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cherries, light cedar, earth, herbs, chocolates, licorice and black pepper.

Tangy finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 32 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Carmel Valley is still drinking beautifully, but not at its peak anymore.

Still showing enough fruits for the acidity, tangy and interesting. Complex and very entertaining.

It's always a great experience to drink these kind of aged wines.

2021. Opened while prepping dinner. I figured this big Napa Chardonnay would pair great with the sautéed mushrooms and mushrooms tagliatelle (and it did!), but I was worried about the spicy local ‘Nduja and first farmer’s market asparagus. The wine was great with the pasta. So glad I looked in the discount shopping cart at the grocery store wine shop to see they needed to sell off the last bottle to make some shelf space! — 3 months ago
