I drank some pretty expensive and exclusive wines last night and I came home and had a glass of this and I preferred it over everything else I had tasted that night. Fine, smooth and elegant #Garnacha — 4 days ago

Bodegas Ignacio Marin

Divinis Grenache 1903

Pretty, pretty label. Eye catching. And screw top is nice. Dark with a rusty edge. Smells a bit funky. Earth, herbs, ground. Pine cones? Little bit of elderberry. Flavors are meaty and tasty. More berries. Like really good blackberry and licorice. All sorts berry flavored. This is not as inky and bowl you over as some high altitude Spanish Granacha is, but it’s got plenty of acid and hits the right tones everywhere. Very likable. — 2 days ago

Bodegas Alto Moncayo

Campo de Borja Garnacha 2016

Dark Ruby with dark berry fruit aromas and smoky notes, from old vines up to 70 years, aged for 20 months in oak. On the palate flavors of ripe plum and black fruits with cacao, spice, oak and mineral notes. Soft fine tannins, vivid acidity ending with oak, smoke and mineral spice on the long finish. A superb wine. — 17 hours ago

A joint venture of Jorge Ordonez, Bodegas Borsao and others, in conjunction with Chris Ringland. Dark Ruby with dark berry fruit aromas, from 40+ year old vines and aged for 16 months in oak. On the palate flavors of ripe plum and black fruits with cacao, spice and smoky notes. Soft tannins, vivid acidity ending with gentle oak spice on the long finish. Wines from Spain are superb and at great values, especially Bodegas Alto Moncayo wines. — 17 hours ago

Venta d'Aubert

Vino de la Tierra Bajo Aragón Garnacha Blanca 2017

I like it better than the already fantastic 2016. Melon fruit, saltiness and vanilla makes a very interesting combination. Not your everyday wine. — 10 days ago
