Had at the Judgement of Paris wine tasting/dinner. Still holding up after 40 years! — 21 days ago
This 2023 is an affordable “ Brother” of the northern Rhône. All about light bodied freshness and nuance, hints at it s big brothers in Crozes Hermitage. Will be a delightful picnic wine as the warmer weather arrives. Under $20 a bottle. — 3 months ago
Great stuff. Mixes mineral pedigree of iron and blood with a lifted, red, fresh profile. Both contemplative and drinkable — 10 months ago
Excellent, smooth

Final meal in Paris. I had read about Anthony Bourdain liking this place because of its simplicity and perfectly cooked meat. (Apparently one of his favorites in Paris). Great meal to close our week in Paris, especially if you like fire grilled meat as much as we do.
The Diane de Belgrade was a textbook Bordeaux. I liked it even more after a bit of time in the glass. This wine is also a reminder that even simple bottles can be amazing. @Robert et Louise in Le Marais. — 3 years ago

The good: drinking great now, really open knit & accessible, almost pop and pour, and great fruit with just enough of a hint of bacon fat on the finish. Depth too. What I question is its anonymity as a Northern Syrah, & I’m not sure that’s even a criticism. Certainly not old school Syrah, and the delicious factor overrides everything debatable. — 4 days ago
