Select Ribbon Ridge Pinot Noir 2022

Impressive, Cranberry, touch volatile acid, cherry, juicy, lots of tannins. This is really good and reminds me of the Burghs in the old old days before they did get stylized. Biodynamic, 13%. — a month ago

Brick House

Evelyn's Ribbon Ridge Pinot Noir 2014

Brickhouse’s flagship Pinot, estate fruit, best barrels. Integrated tannin, cherry fruit, some savory forest notes, enjoyed over a several hours without food and the last glass was the best. Worth the wait, I dig it. — 3 months ago

Opened to use in ragu and was shocked how much we liked it. Someone must have brought it over (Jim?) — 5 months ago

Lodi Cabernet Sauvignon 2001

Costco find today… deep cherry, raspberry, and slight vanillla. Really good Cabernet. Lighter than some, but still full bodied. — a month ago

Tenuta Il Poggione

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2010

#AgedWineTuesday

Ruby in color with a wide brown/ brick rim.

Medium bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing black fruits with wood, earth, vegetables, spices, tobacco leaf, bitter herbs and peppercorn.

Nice finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 14 year old Brunello lost a lot of its fruits at this point. Soft and elegant. Earthy and better with food.

I paired it with a prosciutto and arugula pizza.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

$100.
