For those who love Riojas, this is excellent. Tobacco, vanilla, and cherry are my favorites. — a month ago
Excellent. SAQ $31 — 4 days ago
Bought at Waitrose (I think). Punches well above its weight. Smooth, notes of black current and tobacco but not overpowering. Very easy drinking but complex — 19 days ago

Just an amazing bottle. Of course you always have that Spanish iodine finish but full of purple fruit and depth. — 14 days ago
Founded in 1932 by Isaac Muga Martínez, now run by Manuel, Isabel & Isaac Muga Caño. Deep Ruby, aromas of sweet red and black fruits with pepper spice, unmistakable Muga. 4 grape blend from the Haro district (70% Tempranillo, rest Garnacha, Mazuelo & Graciano), palate shows cherry and currant flavors with espresso, vanilla & toasty oak tones. Soft full tannins, lively acidity on a medium+ finish ending with an earthy mineral character. Nice value! — 2 months ago

2015 vintage. A step up from the El Puntido offering from this producer price wise and hoo boy, is this delivering! Bigger tannins and more concentration throughout. Still a baby tho. Park it at a subterranean level in the cellar for a 15-20 spot. If you just gotta drink it in the next half-decade, you're best off decanting at lunchtime for dinnertime presentation. 5.1.24. — a day ago
