Diego Conterno’s 2020 Barolo is, once again, a terrific wine in its peer group. Deep, fleshy and super-expressive, the 2020 is ready to go. Crushed rose petal, spice, blood orange, menthol and cedar are front and center. Vibrant, fleshy and terrifically balanced, the 2020 is an absolute delight. I loved it. A very unusual wine.
Nose: Malvasia but elegant. Floral. Tropical. Nice brine.
Palate: lightly tropical. But big mineraliaty. Good acidity.
Great briny finish.
A great pick. — 4 months ago
Medium garnet ,medium terracotta rim . Quite spiced , dried fruits, tobacco , touch of caramel , warm earth . Smoky . On the palate quite sweet mix of red and dark fruits, red plum , dark cherry , spiced tobacco, hickory . Quite sweet on the finish , menthol hint, with a touch of caramel on the finish, slightly grippy tannin. This improved quite a lot in the glass , with more fruit noticeable , fills out quite well , better balance. Drink now and over the next couple of years. — a month ago

We both really enjoyed this albarino. Less stone fruit than normal and almost an oaky undertone. Went well with chicken salads.
Would buy again! — 2 months ago
Ruby coloration. Translucent. In the nose, cherry, cherry cola, red berry, on the palate, a close mirror to the nose. Medium-Long finish. — 6 months ago

Superb Pecorino. Minerals, mouth watering avidity, herbs. — 2 months ago
I thought this was amazing. Great nose, flavors and finish. Loved the entire glass. And when they gave me the remnants even better. So close to WOTN. — 3 months ago
Lemon-grapefruit aroma and flavor with a smooth finish, nice introduction to a sparkling rosé from a part of CA not as famous for wine — 7 months ago
