Very smooth and light for a BdM. Had it with lamb - perfect. — 2 years ago
Medium-dark clear ruby color; nose of ripe blackberries, dark cherries, raspberries, garden spices, anise; fairly high alcohol and acid, dry, small firm tannins, long elegant finish in a very typical BdM style. I went all-in on the -15s and -16th so my supply of -14s is limited. This one a winner! 🥇 — 2 years ago
Excellent BDM. Fruit and tannins. Probably would be great in five years. — 2 years ago
This was a nice medium weight BdM , a touch tannic upon opening but that resolved nicely after an hour’s decant and a nice steak.
Dark fruits, some wood, leather, acidity a bit tamped down ( could be the heat of the vintage). Slight burnt orange and toffee in there.
Amongst 4 people, it didn’t last long. — a year ago

Poured into an Amadeo decanter about 30min prior to service. The 2018 Val di Suga BdM “classico” is a combination of fruits sourced from the estates three vineyards: Vigna del Lago; Vigna Spuntali and Poggio al Granchio. The wine pours a deep ruby with a near opaque, transparent core and a watery rim. Medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, teh wine is developing with morello cherry, carnations, dusty earth, orange pith and leather. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and drying. This was my second time drinking the classico and I’m quite keen to try some of the single vineyard expressions in the future. Drink now with a short decant or through 2033 — 4 months ago
