Splendid. A rediscovery of Banyuls style wine. Silky with depth and character. To drink right away. Great moment. — 3 years ago
Blend of 50% Grenache, 50% Carignan from 85-year-old, co-planted vines at approximately 900 ft in Banyuls. Aged for 6 months in used oak. Very fragrant and fruit-forward. Beautiful aromas of red fruit, strawberry jam and floral notes. Ripe, juicy, super drinkable — 6 years ago

Killer, classic Banyuls! — 8 years ago
Thanksgiving dessert wine paired with pumpkin and apple pie, the color is a kind of dark fog color, definitely showing its age, with some coppery hints to the edges. Medium to silky full on the body, with dessert focused notes of butterscotch, fig preserves, slight vanilla, raspberry compote and fresh baked goods notes, like an amazing fig newton. Sweet palate, with more fig newton, vanilla, cinnamon, orange, caramel and apple pie. A perfect pairing! — 7 months ago

Garnatxa negra , gris i carinyena. Licorós i de color claret amb aroma que recorda l’oporto. Final llarg i suau. — 7 years ago
From the same appellation boundaries as Banyuls, this Collioure wine is a stunner. While a bit reductive when first uncorked - it’s stoic, structured and remarkably complex - a pillar of inky anise, leather, cayenne, rosemary flavor. Spice and garrigue meet blackberry liqueur on the lengthy finish. It’s the classic combination of rusticity and elegance that southern France does so well. 80% Mourvèdre, 10% Grenache, 10% Carignan. — 8 years ago
Fruit cake, spice box, but not hot and heavy. Good Banyuls. — 9 years ago

Mise de Septembre 2003. Tasted June 2020. Mahogany/red brick color. Acetone aroma that quickly blows off. Palate is racy, sweet/sour. Balanced and complex. Good with parma prosciutto or serrano ham, thai chicken satay with peanut sauce, and pad thai. — 6 years ago

Beautiful nearly 35 year old Banyuls Rimage from Dr. Parce, this old vine (mostly) Grenache is a fortified dessert wine (17.5% ABV) that pairs perfectly with my wife’s chocolate pate w/raspberry sauce!! The Banyuls is a tad less sweet than a comparable Port of similar age, and thus provides (for me) a better contrast with moderately sweet chocolate pate. Long finish, terrific pairing. — 7 months ago
