Solid for the price. Still young. Not too distinctive. A little acidic and tart. — 5 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90 minutes. The 2017 San Valentino pours a slightly hazy, ruby color with medium+ viscosity and light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart, red fruit: sour Montmorency cherry, wood varnish, horse blanket, black licorice, old wood, and stony earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and zippy. One of the more wild vintages of San Valentino I’ve ever had and this bottle wasn’t quite as good as the one I had a couple years back. Drink now and enjoy what nature gave to Paolo and Giampiero. — a day ago
Superb! '24 xmas gathering at home. First of 6 bottles. Can't wait for this to develop further. — 15 days ago
This 2019 has subtle aromas with olives and herbs on initial palate. Figgy with tart and dried cherries. Solid, not spectacular — 15 days ago
Very good Rosso di Montalcino! Especially with hard cheese and Italian bread! Would also be great with pasta, grilled meats, etc al. Just okay as a sipping wine but comes alive with food!Cherries, brambley fruits, low tannins, good qpr especially as compared to Brunello! — 21 days ago

Fantastic half bottle. Definitely in the zone now. Ripe fruit harmoniously weaved and great structure. Thoroughly impressive. — 9 days ago
