Continues to be one of my favorite Italian reds. Extremely food friendly. — 2 months ago
Bright Ruby red color with aromas of red berry fruits, sweet spice, tea and floral notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with spice, licorice and floral notes. Fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, floral spice and slight earthy mineral character. Good value! — 3 months ago

v12. Delicious. Soft tobacco nose. Fresh, deep black fruits with a hint of soft tar. Bright, long, chocolate finish. — 4 months ago

Light orange colour. This rare rosé is everything but the poolside pink we all see everyday in summer.
Pomegranate, rhubarb, bloodorange, wild flowers, touch of matchstick or volcanic rocks. Lots of structure and length, bitterness (Campari!) and acidity in the aftertaste.
This is something special for the adventurous wine-geek, and certainly not for everyone’s palate. — a month ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. The 2016 Villero pours a bright garnet color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with powerful notes of Morello cherry, raspberry, fresh roses, tar, orange curaçao, talcum powder, dried green herbs, and gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and slightly savory. Villero is one of those MGA‘s that will show well young and this was no exception. While other 2016’s might still be locked down, this was full of pleasure. With this much balance, there’s a long life yet ahead. Drink now through 2066+. — 4 months ago

D’une douceur qui coule à merveille vu l’équilibre parfait. Avec pâtes ou seul, un vrai bon Chianti. — 18 days ago

2022 vintage. Medium body and plenty of punch. Throws in spices and earth. Solid pricing. Don't move much Barbaresco. If someone pulled this out from underneath the table in a decade tho, I'd have a huge smile. Can fight through the tannins now if you must. Try to hold off 3-5 years if possible. 8.5.26. — 12 days ago
