Needed a few hours of air. Very tart fruit, pepper, earth, sage, outstanding. Feels young despite 11 years. Still one of the best ca wineries. — a month ago
Small production, 150 cases, aged 11 months in French oak, 35% new. Met winemaker David Rossi who makes small batches by buying fruit from top vineyards and using a shared winery for crafting his small batch wines. Deep Ruby with a full range of berry aromas with wafts of earthy notes. On the palate blackberry & ripe cherry with oak and subtle spice. Fine tannins, lingering ending with fruit and some dusty spice. Nice now but let’s see if it aged well. I’ll grab a bottle and put it aside. Check back! — a year ago
Even after a few years of bottle age this is very tannic. And this blend only has smaller part Segrantino! Would benefit from more cellering, for sure. It’s rough but feels very well made. — 17 days ago

Third course at Bacchus. Braised beef short ribs, caramelized mirepoix, house made pappardelle. A fantastic pairing. — 2 months ago

Vintage 2023 | Juicy and very quaffable grechetto. Each time I taste this brings me back to a visit to Arnaldo Capraï in Umbria. It is a emotion wine to me. Paired with a schnitzel. — 8 days ago
