Anniversary dinner with the love of my time at our new winter home on Arizona.
As usual an incredible Shafer Cab. — 2 days ago
Color of saturated gold, beautiful. Nose of nutty, buttery flavors, spice, sprite, dense flowering note like Riesling, some mineral, and some ripe pineapple and banana. Taste is mouthful with zesty tinkling flavors leading the way, spicy, and less sweet than suggested by nose. Second sips has more sweetness from honey, same spice, and more zesty rind. Aftertaste is dominated by spicy taste from alcohol and a bit short of complexity. I do feel the nose alone earns her a nice rating. — 8 days ago
Barnyard funk blows off to eucalyptus, cracked pepper, blackcherry and forest berries. Lifted and floral. Tart cherry and tart cranberry on the palate. Coated with spice box and herbs. Dry and tart to finish. AZ fruit. — 4 days ago
Dark ruby in color with a short purple rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, sweet cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, earth and pencil lead.
Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black cherries, raisins, vanilla, oak, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, mocha, coke, earth, light vegetables, pencil lead and peppercorn.
Nice length on the finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon is always enjoyable. Drinking nicely now as a 3 years old.
Fruit forward with nice balance. Showing mild complexity with a nice mouthfeel.
Wine Enthusiasts 90 points.
Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up and shows the tannins (45 minutes).
Nice enough to drink by itself, but pairs nicely with food too.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Lemon jello, just one shade lighter. Rabid creature foaming. Tangerine, lemon, toasted sesame, watermelon rind, soft hemp aromas, dried, diced pineapple. Pineapple with a yeasty streak. Grilled grapefruit, lemongrass, orange peel. Nice session that has a lot of beer flavor as well. Refreshing and easy. I’d hydrate with this. No Water! — 23 days ago

Randall Grahm steered Bonny Doon’s flagship wine in an elegant direction in 2018. It shows vibrant red berry, cherry and floral character, with herb and spice notes building with aeration. Polished and animated in character, the 2018 is graceful and remarkably flexible with a range of foods. $20.00 (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, November 2019) — 9 days ago
