Orange with a hint of brown, slightly hazy, medium head on pour. Good orange and grapefruit flavor that drifts off into piney hop IPA land, with a citrus zest finish with moderate hop bitterness. Given the tradition of citrus growing in the (central) Phoenix (or CenPho) area, the brewers do capture something authentic, “zesty, fruity, local pride” as it states on the bottom border of the can. It even looks like they forage their citrus from the backyards of locals. Tasty stuff, admirably imagined and crafted. Not a classic IPA style but who cares? 🌵🍋🍊🍺🌅 Gonna be another scorcher, drink up — a month ago
Made in a bordeaux Blanc style with the use of oak. Very creamy and soft with a rich kiwi, grapefruit and powdered lemon bar aromatics. Soft at first but a surprising amount of acidity at the finish. Lingering notes of stone and tropical fruits. This 2016 has a bit more limestone and savory sea salt notes than I found the 2017 did, though I still agree with my assessment that it has a profile of a combo of Spottswoode’s SB and Aesthete’s SB. No rush here. — 19 hours ago
From a mini vertical of Monte Bello at a friend’s house. This 08 is easily the most concentrated of the 06, 07, 08. A bit of lemony oak is still yet to integrate on the nose, but all the components are there. Best concentration of the bunch. The fruit is rich and pure and the tannins and acids are really in nice balance. Give this 5 more years. — 7 days ago
828 cases made, 50/21/20 blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, Sangiovese plus minor additions of Counoise, Petite Sirah and Barbera. Medium extracted pigment, very good clarity. Fruity nose, lightly tannic, cherryish flavors with notes of tangerine, mint, spearmint and white pepper. Pioneers of wine growing in Cochise County AZ. Paired it with grilled chicken and red mole, and also grilled salmon. Artisanal yet tasty — 24 days ago
73/13/7/5/2 blend of Garnacha, Syrah, Monastrell, Graciano and Piquepoul Blanc. Pink to red rose petal in color (it’s not just the artwork) light cherry aroma, Good tangerine-cherry-white pepper flavor consistent with two main red varietals here. Not quite bone dry but close. Nice acidity and mineral finish. Muted flavors overall but a fine wine for sipping on a hot day. Paired so well with a Bianco Verde pizza al fresco last week at Pizzeria Bianco that I went out and bought a bottle. — 2 months ago
A night if firsts for me: first Marquette and first Vermont wine!
Love the vibrant acidity. Nose leads me down the lovechild path of Beaujolais romancing Bonarda. Heavily cranberried sauciness with herbal influences. I would like to chill this few degrees and revisit with a thanksgiving menu in the fall. Likey! — 3 days ago
Yellow in color with a light golden hue.
Pretty nose of citrus, lemons, apples, light apricots, white flowers and light honey.
Medium plus in body and refreshing, with medium acidity.
Very dry on the palate with grapefruits, pears, melons, spices and white pepper.
Tangy finish with limes.
This is a nice and easy drinking Viognier from Arizona. Crisp and refreshing. Nicely balanced with a soft mouthfeel.
A good pool wine and good for parties.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with cheeses and smoked salmon.
12.7% alcohol by volume.

Bellingar Estates South Pass Syrah 2018, Oregon
Deep purple in color with a purplish rim.
Fruity nose of black plums, wild flowers, cooked blueberries, light wood, earth, tobacco, chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, violets and herbs.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, light oak, licorice, spices, coffee, chocolates and peppercorn.
Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.
This Syrah from Oregon is drinking very nicely now. rich and fruit forward.
Nicely balanced and elegant. Showing nice complexity with a nice, soft mouthfeel.
Good right out of the bottle, and better as it opens up. I gave it two hours in a decanter.
This Single Vineyard is interesting and easy drinking. Fragrant and aromatic with a teeth staining color. Feels very much like a good quality California Syrah.
Aged in French oak barrels (10% new) for 24 months. A very small production of only 100 cases.
13.9% alcohol by volume.
